TYWC in Tourney Action
Several Tunkhannock Youth Wrestling Club members took to the mats
over the weekend and continued to look impressive. The highlight of the weekend came on Sunday, as Brian
Rosiak and Dalton Ray traveled to Rec. Hall at Penn State University to participate in the Nittany Lion Open.
This tournament showcases some of the best youth wrestlers in the state. Rosiak made it all the
way to the finals and finished with an impressive second place. Ray wrestled tough on the day as well,
winning his first match and coming up just short in his next two. To top it off, the two young grapplers
had the opportunity to meet Olympic Gold Medalist and current PSU Wrestling coach Cael Sanderson. It was
quite a day for these youth wrestlers.
In other weekend action,
six TYWC grapplers went to Montrose for a round robin style tournament and , again came home with great results.
Three wrestlers came home champions including Tommy Traver, Jake Richards, and Hunter Gregory, with
his first career championship finish. Richards had three pins on the day. Owen Woods
and Dakota Quick each took second place and Jacob Hand brought home a third place finish.

robin tournament. Three champions were crowned on the day including Owen Woods, Lucas Stage, and Breanna
Weidner. Jacob MacMillan, Tommy Traver, and Sam Rice each took the silver medal, while Jake Richards and
Connor Munley brought home the bronze. Timmy Davenport, Kurtis Christ, and Dakota Quick fought to fourth
